Sandy Springs, Ga
Presented by Stuart D. Smith, LPC, The Clinical Staff and the Link's NRC SOS team,
The Link's National Resource Center for Suicide Prevention and Aftercare.
This 2 day training is based on the program developed by Iris Bolton, author of, "My Son, My Son". This training is relevant for both survivors and professionals who wish to create and facilitate a support group for survivors of suicide or to increase their skills in this area. Support teams are also trained to be volunteers to be available to make home visits when requested by the family in crisis of their loss.
Survivors who are at least 18 months to 2 years after the suicide of a loved one may find meaning in their loss by giving to others who are recently bereaved.
